Barbarians have been a mainstay in Diablo for a long time at this point, and Diablo IV has revamped them significantly. Weapon masters of the highest order, they have a versatile set of abilities they can use to trample through enemies and carve a path to victory. As a live-service game, Diablo IV has gone through a few changes, so if you’ve checked out for a little bit and are returning with the hopes of building the best possible Barbarian, read on.
Diablo IV – Bear Bender Build
This guide covers my favorite leveling and endgame build, currently, which is the Frenzied Upheaval build. It has a balanced set of abilities that help with crowd control, defense, and attacks at both the close and mid-range.

You’ll attack with Frenzy to boost your attack speed, then switch to Upheaval to spend your Fury. Use Ground Stomp and Iron Skin to deal damage and stay alive, then use Mighty Throw to bomb small groups of enemies and stun them.
Looking for other class build guides?
We’re expanding our Diablo 4 guides coverage to include up-to-date builds of all of the action RPGs classes, including the Sorcerer, Necromancer, and Vessel of Hatred’s new class, the Spiritborn.
Note: One key thing you’ll need to do is set your weapon-based abilities to different types of equipped weapons once you get Walking Arsenal, then make sure you are rotating between those abilities to keep the buffs up for maximum damage.
